Taiwan part one - Ximending

Hello everyone AND Welcome to Taiwan! Recently, i went to Taiwan for a short vacation with my loved ones and here i am to share the fun, info and nevertheless the food that you must have in Taiwan! Look at the big sign, Ximending! This is the first stop that i made when i reached Taiwan ( of course before dropping off my luagge at City Inn Hotel 3 near Taipei Main Station )  

We took a train ride ( MRT ) from Taipei Main Station to Ximending. It's just one stop away. Look at the empty streets at Ximending. It's 9.30am when i got there. 

This is the first shop for breakfast in Taiwan. Actually i tried the food here before when i went to Taiwan in 2010. Anyway, this shop sells duck and goose meat! It's quite special and we can hardly find this kind of food in Singapore. 

On the right hand side, that is duck meat with bee hoon soup. It's great when it's hot! The duck meat is fresh, and the boss is very generous of him to give us such big serving of meat and vegetables for just around $2.50 SGD.

The picture on the left is the goose meat! The smallest portion is 1/4 of a goose. So we didn't hesitate and ordered one portion. When it came, we were stunned. That is a lot of meat there just for the two of us. We did not expect it to be so much, however, we finish up all in the end

This is the legendary AH ZONG MIAN XIAN! This is the best mian xian that i have eaten in my entire life. All tourist and locals love their mian xian. 

This bowl of mian xian is too GOOD! ( I had one more bowl before i flew back to SG ) The combination of the mian xian and the thin crisp that you find on top of takoyaki ( I don't know what is it called ) and the pig intestines is GREAT!! The pig intestines have totally no foul smell or taste. It's just NT45 ($2) for a small bowl. 

NOTE: NO EXTRA CHARGES WHEN I ASKED FOR EXTRA INTESTINES   

Girls who love shopping! Ximending is a great place for young and fashionable youngsters! 

A whole lot of range of accessories just for NT50 for most of the items. So cheap cheap cheap! 

Not to forget, guys, Adidas stuff are also cheaper in Taiwan. Go do some shopping! 

All STEAMBOAT LOVERS! DANGER! ONCE YOU STEP INTO THIS SHOP, YOU NEVER REGRET AND FORGET THIS STEAMBOAT STALL IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. DANGER~

A whole lot of range of selection for the steamboat! Vegetables, meat, seafood and mushrooms! Their selection includes crabs, and they have crab with roes in it! How heavenly is that! The fish is also super fresh! There is no fish smell and very little bones in it! 

The old school coke and sprite in glass bottles. Does it bring back memories for some??

BLACK ANGUS BEEF! OMG! One after another! SO MANY GOOD STUFF! THERE IS ALSO BLACK PIG FROM TAIWAN AND AUSTRALIA LAMB SHABU SHABU! I ordered endless amount of meat. It's just too good. Everyone who goes to Ximending must try!! 

They also have herb tea. Tea lovers should like it.	Dessert were so so. So.... dessert lovers. Sorry!
Gui Ling Gao and Some milk yogurt dessert.	Nespresso Machine for coffee lovers.

Nevertheless, fruits are good for digestion! 

All just for that price. After plus plus is NT878 for 2 person. Each person just pay SGD21 for all the good stuff, you must eat and eat and eat. The only con is, you can just have the table for 2hrs! for your info, i enjoyed the whole 2hrs of makan!! 

Overall. Ximending is a place where you can have fun, have good food and have a great time doing shopping!! Without me saying, all those who go Taiwan, this is the place for you to chill and hang out! Enjoy!
